The latest innovation from Bamboo Revolution is our micro-laminate veneer, which are comprised of cross-laminated layers of bamboo veneer. Bamboo Revolution stocks 0.9mm, 1.5mm, 2.7mm custom lay-ups and thicknesses are available by special order. Bamboo micro-laminates are particularly popular for laser etching and cutting.
Bamboo Revolution micro-laminates are available in several thicknesses. In its thin lay-ups, it can easily form tight radii, even compound curves without kerf cutting or steaming. It is ideal for laser engraving. Due to its unique properties, it can replace plastics and even fiberglass in many consumer goods. It is the optimal material for next-generation packaging — naturally beautiful and strong and most importantly offering a package that will continually be used long after the product it contained has been opened. It is also the perfect solution for curved cabinetry and furniture.
In its more substantial dimensions of ¼” and ⅜”, bamboo micro-Laminates are ideal for bent lamination furniture. Due to the 5- or 7-layer, cross-laminated construction, it offers a much higher strength-to-weight ratio than standard plywood products. When your project calls for a sturdy material in a compact form, look no further.
